Prom = Bad Omen

Mark left for a day of motorcycling with friends this morning at 9am. I knew he was worried about taking off and leaving me alone because Lydia hadn't slept well and I was tired. So I put on my best happy face and sent him on his way wanting him to have some fun. He called me at noon and said he was gonna be later than expected ((which was 2pm)) I told him all was good at home......I felt much better after showering and he didn't need to hurry back. So I continue on with my day with the girls. At 4pm, I get another call saying they're on the way home so at this point I was expecting him around 5pm. At 6pm I hear an ambulance rushing up the canyon and decide to call him. He apologised for being late and said that things were taking longer cause some one hit his BIKE ((I was thinking in a parking lot)) and they had to get a trailer for the bike...at 6:30pm in he walks with his braced, mangled leg and a lil smirk on his face. This is the point where I was informed the call at 12pm was only shortly after a 17yr old kid in a brand new Subaru ran a red light and hit my husband on his bike sending him on a matrix fly through the air in an intersection. Luckily several factors and a helmet kept him from any serious injury his legs pretty beat up though. Oh and get this...the kid was going to PROM!!! Seriously...I will not allow my children to drive to prom or drive on any prom day.

Snowmen Books and Pigtails

We did make it past the Holidays in case you were wondering. Faye is back to school and she told me to talk about her Valentines party...Although I'm not sure if she means the one we had here at our house last week for all the kids in the ward or the one she's having in preschool tomorrow, both are of equal importance to her I beleive. She's getting so big and loves to make up songs about random things and dance...the girl LOVES to dance.

Lydia's grown leaps and bounds the last couple months...not physically of course she's doomed to be a shorty for life. Sorry hun it's the genes. But she a lil blabber mouth if she's not repeating everything she hears she's comming up with her oun little hilarious nonsensical phrases. She loves and HAS to be the center of attention and when Faye goes to preschool she's in dreamland with Mom and Dad all to herself. Of course when Faye doesn't go to school her dreamland turns into Mom and Dads nightmare as she wakes up in the middle of the night demanding her one-on-one time then. They are the loves of my life.

I am just trying to keep up with the girls. And Mark and I are grasping kisses and hugs in passing. Nothings harder than not getting to spend every moment with my darling husband. Things are better when he's around, but school and work keep him away for long hours. It's difficult for sure although I couldn't be more proud of my man and all his hard work.

And thats it for now. XOXO and Take care.

What a Christmas...

We had quite the
MERRY Christmas at our house. I mean look at that face have you EVER seen a happier lil girl?! Faye's still telling ppl "...and I got EVERYTHING I wanted." She was very gracious in receiving and was very excited about giving the gift to Grandma and grandpa that she'd helped with. We all made out a little to well when all was said and done...Santa was good to us. It was a
blessing to spend a Holiday that means so much to me right here at home with my little family. We stayed in Logan, but luckily were able to see both Mark's and my side of the family throughout the break. Mark's parents came up before Christmas ans brought A LOT of christmas cheer in the form of a Barbie house that Kent built. We met up with My family back home and rang in the New Year with a suprise Birthday party my Mom put togather for my Dad's 60th. It was a blast. So now Faye's a Sunbeam such a big girl. She's back in preschool and is LOVING it. Lydia talks about her the whole time she's gone (she's talking in sentances at times just the last couple days it's been crazy to hear what comes outta her mouth). Mark's also back to school although with somewhat less enthuziasm than Faye. :) As for me I'm still trying to get back in the swing of things. Break from the norm is awesome.

For those of you who thought I was kidding...

...well I wasn't. ^^

This is Faye's 1st Program ever it was the Holiday program for her Preschool. I've never seen her more excited for anything...and once we experienced it....well let's just say I'm glad we brought the camera. They had her front and center and I'll never know why :P

...Mom and Dad were soo proud we took her out to McDonalds for dinner ;)

And now...Halloween

This year was the 1st year Faye was able to chose her own costume when I asked her what she wanted to dress up as I mortified to hear the word "Princess" escape her lips. Not that I have anything against the idea just that after her huge Princess Birthday bash, and nearly 20 princess dress-ups and accessories I was hoping for something a bit different. Giving into the will of my dominating 3 yr old I asked what princess she had in mind. Her answer made me so excited I think I actually clapped "I want to be sleeping princess BiOna" Faye-to-english translation "Princess Fiona" That's all it took, I was back on board, my princess dress wearing daughter wanted to be an ogre for Halloween. With Faye's creative help and me realizing how much Lydia's body build looked like Boo from Monster's Inc. we also had a costume for Lydia. It was a blast of a day and for all the sighs I had about princess's Faye talked me into dressing up as Snow White. ^^

The ever beloved ... "Catch-up Posts"

Okay so starting with Fall activities...I am blessed to have wonderful women and friends in our ward, and from that blessing came another . "mid-week/play group" My friends and I decided to put together weekly activities for any of those stay-at-home Mommies (like ourselves) and the kids. These activities have ranged from story time at the neighbors house to taking the public bus to McDonalds for lunch. Every week something new and This by far was our favorite we went a corn maze that was also a kiddie carnival complete with milk bottle throw cowboy roping and a hay bail jump. The girls had so much fun and after watching her friends on the hay bail jump the entire time and a couple close real good "i can do this" tries Faye FINALLY slide off the giant bails into the straw pile. Brave lil girl ^^

Tagged...

I search: in my 1yr old's mouth for cat food and other various "ick"
I wonder: If I'll ever stop saying "Wow! I'm a Mom!" or the word "rad".
I regret: "those" days...you know the ones I'm talking about.
I love: all those in my gene pool and a select few outside of it :P
I care: to much and then not enough.
I always: watch the Office
I worry: about Faye at Preschool
I am not: Super Mom
I remember: simpler times, though carefree where never this fun.
I believe: that despite my many short comming, my kids will make good people.
I sing: because the sound of my voice calms me on "those" days.
I dance: like an idiot just to get a laugh out of Lydia.
I don’t always: shave >.<...tell me about it!
I argue: about political things, so I keep my mouth closed when the topic is brought up.
I write: shopping lists ^^
I win: cheezy online photo contests.
I lose: my mind on "those" days.
I wish: I could keep my cool ALWAYS with my kids.
I listen: most intently when Faye tells me about her day at school or at a play date.
I don't understand: Mark's homework..."differential ...WHAT?!"
I can usually be found: surrounded by my girls and a few neighborhood kids as well.
I am scared: nothing normal, but the really twisted stuff gets me.
I need: chocolate on a regular basis.
I forget: most things that aren't written down.
I am happy: because of the life choices I've made. I was hesitant but they were definatly right for me.
I tag: FAMILY!!! Blood, marry-in, and inlaws! YOU ARE ALL TAGGED!

"Blah!"
"Maybe it'll be better on the second take....Ew! nope!"
This went on for several takes. Never once did she claim it was good...but she had hope that it would be each and every time she tried it....I mean it "WAS"candy after all....Wasn't it?

PunkRockPrincessLuau...

...It's been the month for Birthdays and some SERIOUS birthday bashes!

1st PunkRock...Our frineds threw a Rock'n'Roll party for the Lucy who was turning 1yr. It consisted of a tattoo parlor...a bling table...a garage-style rockband (playstation)...and even microphone cupcakes. Faye got all decked out in her lil'punker gear and had a blash.

(This is a picture of the famliy that I'm pretty proud of...I was asked to take pictures I got some good ones but this one was the best)

2nd PRINCESS...Faye's 3rd birthdya was next and the theme was "Princess Tea Party" She told me that she wanted a princess tea party with a castle cake nearly 4 months before hand...so I had no excuse...Her friends came all dressed in prince/princess best...we even has a couple of knights in attendance. Prnicess Faye took all her frineds on a treasure hunt, they made foam crowns and playe kiss the frog. Then of course they had the tea party. A friend of mine even read the kids a Cinderella book .... It was quiet the party and Faye still talks about it.

Oh yea and Faye got a "big girl" bike for her birthday.

3rd TIKI TIME...just a couple weeks after Faye's party her friend turned 3 as well. His party was a Luau Theme...there was a slipn'slide & sandbox shell hunt. Faye

addores the water so there was of course no

better party than this one because there were TWO pools!

No...I didn't forget about Lydia...She made her appearence at all the parties too but they were all in the middle of her naps so I didn't get pictures of her at them.
